What the FDS people say about the Cultural Change/ Vision and Strategy. Feedback was sought from FDS people who attended the MasterProcess programs and Vision & Strategy cascade. They were asked “What has changed for you since attending the MasterProcess workshop? What difference has it made?” The following are some typical responses.

“ I was initially sceptical. The shift came for me after attending a Vision Improvement Process Workshop [part of the cultural change cascade process] at which point I really bought into it.

I can really see it happening at management level. We are all now able to see the bigger picture with clarity.

I felt refreshed and focussed as a result of the programme.

I am delegating more because the MasterProcess allows me to check that the right message has been received.

I am out of the detail, able to lift my level and plan more strategically and have moved away from fire-fighting.

“ The MasterProcess has given me confidence and belief that I can empower myself and colleagues.

What I found quite amazing is that even when you feel you have exhausted all options the process elicits more solutions.

Problem-solving is a great use of the process but funnily enough it often transpires that it wasn’t really a problem after all – just a person’s perception.

We used to have team meetings that normally took a day, and then we still hadn’t resolved the issues. After we learned the MasterProcess, in 4 hours all the tabled issues had been discussed and given owners and we had achieved it in half the time. Since learning the MasterProcess our team is more empowered, enthusiastic and positive.

What I now do differently is confront issues at an earlier stage and empower people to find their own solutions to a problem.”

“ Since attending the MasterProcess training I am far more focused on what the real issue is and teasing it out so that when it is understood we can move forward with clarity.

By using the process I have found people are far more honest because the process elicits what is really going on.

As a result I have become more challenging and use the process to dig deeper.

In the past I would go off at a tangent. Having the MasterProcess provides more structure to my thinking.

Now an issue can be more readily resolved and this has cut meeting times in half, so allowing that time to be better spent thinking of revenue generating ideas.

In summary, it makes people feel very positive about themselves because they have found their own solutions and they feel empowered, which raises the energy and that goes back into the workplace.”

My message to other companies is: If you empowered everyone in your organization to make the right decision, imagine how that would improve profitability!
